On December 25, 2025, the Party Committee of the School of Optoelectronic Information and Energy Engineering (School of Mathematics and Physics) held a special meeting on strict governance within the Party in Room 206 of Building 2 of the Experimental Building. The meeting was presided over by Shi Hongjie, the Party Secretary of the School. The Party Committee members, the Party organization officer, and the secretaries of each Party branch attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Shi Hongjie led the study of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instruction on improving Party conduct, Persistently Implement the Eight-Point Decision of the Central Committee and Promote the Regularization and Long-Term Effectiveness of Improving Party Conduct, as well as General Secretary Xi Jinping's important article Improving the System for Comprehensively Governing the Party with Strict Discipline. He emphasized the need to continuously deepen theoretical armament and constantly strengthen the political awareness of comprehensively governing the Party with strict discipline.
Li Yuanyuan briefed on Joint Circular by Six Hubei Provincial Departments on 7 Typical Cases of Investigating and Handling False Accusations and Clarifying Names for Untrue Reports and Circular by the Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision on 5 Typical Cases of Drunk Driving by Party Members and Cadres. She conducted warning education in combination with the cases to strengthen awareness of discipline and rules.
Xiang Yiling conveyed Notice on Printing and Distributing <Trial Measures for the Responsibility System for Improving the Party's Work Style and Upholding Integrity at Wuhan Institute of Technology> and Notice on Carrying Out Special Investigation and Voluntary Reporting on Behaviors Such as Drunk Driving, Drug Abuse, and Involvement in Pornography and Gambling Among Faculty and Staff. She required all branches and faculty members to earnestly implement the relevant systems and work requirements of the university.
Shi Hongjie made a comprehensive summary of the achievements and existing deficiencies in the work of comprehensively governing the Party with strict discipline in the college in 2025, and put forward three requirements for the next step of work:
First, we must continuously strengthen theoretical armament, adhere to taking the systematic study of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as the primary task, and guide Party members among teachers and students to effectively transform the learning achievements into practical results for promoting the development of the college;
Second, we must improve the mechanism for implementing responsibilities, refine the list of main responsibilities for comprehensively governing the Party with strict discipline, strengthen the "dual responsibilities" of members of the college leadership team, and promote the integrated planning, deployment and assessment of Party building work with central tasks such as discipline construction and talent training;
Third, we must promote the regularization of discipline education, integrate Party discipline learning and education into daily management, conduct regular case-based warnings and risk investigations, and consolidate the ideological and institutional lines of defense for Party members and cadres to resist corruption and prevent degeneration.
At the meeting, the members of the college's leadership team respectively reported on their fulfillment of the "dual responsibilities of one position".
